Hackney Circle is the council’s free membership group for older residents interested in accessing the borough’s creative and cultural offer. We work with a large network of cultural partners to help promote their activities, and we help create programming opportunities that widen access to the creativity and the arts.

As a member you will receive a weekly email newsletter with upcoming information, news and events. Members also have exclusive access to our social events, as well as specific opportunities, offers and discounts from our cultural partners. Members can also receive additional support in booking and can leave their comments and feedback on our programme.

You don’t need to be a member to access our activities page. Here everyone can see all the activities we are promoting from across our cultural partners. However, if you are not a member you won’t be able to see our Hackney Circle Social events. You also won’t be able to receive booking support, leave feedback, or see special offers, discounts and opportunities from our cultural partners. Lots of good reasons to become a member!

If you need help with other types of support, outside of our services, we are happy to help signpost you to the right place. It will be easier for us to do so if you are a member!

We are trying to make our services as accessible as possible, especially for those who don’t want to, or are not able to use computers and smart phones confidently. We have a telephone line you can call, and when you register you can choose your communication preferences to receive information via the post. We create accessible Event Cards which are available in printed format for sharing as much as possible. Do let us know if you would like to receive these.
